Thursday Thoughts on a Sunday…

Well, I’ve broken the promise to myself in a matter of weeks which is actually pretty good going for me, but let’s run down an update of what I’ve been up to:

1. Character concepts for my comic book have come back to me and they are looking amazing, here’s a tease of one.

A little off as to how I pictured the character but the art style is pretty damn cool.

2. I’ve been continuing to write a book, though what was once a novel is slowly turning into a short story because my motivation for the idea is dwindling.

3. I’ve been wanting to write a sitcom set in a community theater for a while but lack the brain power to come up with non stereotypical character, so all I have so far is a single scene with a director and a casting director and a whole lot of “sound of music” jokes which make me laugh, maybe I’ll try and post it somewhere to see if it is actually funny.

And that’s about it, Nintendo re-released the first Pokémon games that were ever released for the Nintendo eShop on the 3DS so I imagine the majority of my time at my desk will be spend justifying my purchase of both Pokémon Red and Yellow (Blue sucks) so if next weeks blog is also late you’ll know who to blame…

Me.

Wait and see…

So today I sat down with an artist and tried to breakdown some characters I have in a comic book I’m writing which he’ll have some character concepts ready for me next week, and I’m both excited and terrified to see what he comes up with because the ideas we had were pretty out there.
The part of me that’s terrified is so because this comic book idea is something I’ve slowly been working on since I was 9 and it’s only now, 15 years later these characters are going to have faces. However that fact feels pretty damn good from a writing stand point because now when I think about how the panels will look I’ll get to visualise them, not just a bunch of posing dummies with initials carved into their chests.
I might share some of the concepts I get next week, depending on if I feel they need reworks or not, but until then.

Keep on keeping on.

One Post. Once A Week.

I’ve decided to start a blog for no other reason then to just see how long I can maintain a schedule of posting once per week about any topic that stimulates me enough in that moment, at the very least I hope it will encourage me to do more so that I have things to write about, instead of always writing fiction.

Though I’m sure a majority of this blog will be taken up with complaints of writers block and a disgust in myself from lacking the ability to refuse unhealthy food.

Anyway, the posts in question will mostly happen every Thursday starting on 18/2/2016.

So here’s to this non-complaint filled post, hopefully the first of many.
